Someone paid $4 MILLION to skip a queue!!

A container ship paid about $4m to jump the Panama Canal line, which is more than double the average of the week before! Normal auction bids start around $15,000 for small ships!

I can't get over it. Ships waiting about 10 days, the lake that feeds the canal drained by El Niño, the Middle East routes closed. Global trade is basically one big traffic jam right now!
