things koreans do in summer that confuse my foreign friends

1. Eat very hot chicken soup (samgyetang) on the hottest days. We call it fighting heat with heat.

2. Some people still believe a fan running all night in a closed room is dangerous. My grandmother checks every night.

3. Wear arm sleeves and big visors outside in 34C.

4. Go to the bank or the cafe just for the free AC.
