Ortega found the one weird trick to never lose an election

Light post, but not a happy one. Ortega announced there won't be any more elections, which cancels the vote due in November 2027. Technically, he will now be undefeated forever.

As a pharmacist, I would describe this as treating the symptom by removing the patient. My sympathy goes to Nicaraguans, especially the families of people in prison. But the honesty is almost impressive: most leaders who do this at least pretend.
