PSA: if your flat is an oven, keep the curtains shut by day and open up at night

Learned this the hard way. During the day keep blinds and curtains closed on the sunny side and windows shut if it's hotter outside than in. Once it cools down in the evening, open everything up and get a cross breeze going.

Also: unplug stuff you're not using, chargers and old TVs give off more heat than you'd think. Cold shower before bed, sheets in the freezer for ten minutes if you're desperate. Stay cool out there.
