Which Lee Chang-dong film should I watch before 'Possible Love'?
With 'Heartbeat' arriving on Netflix Monday and 'Possible Love' on Friday, I want to do a little homework. I've only seen Burning, which I loved and haven't stopped thinking about for years.
The GONOM post mentions both films star Jeon Do-yeon and Sul Kyung-gu. I know Jeon won best actress at Cannes for Secret Sunshine, and Sul was in Oasis and Peppermint Candy, so those both feel like obvious picks, but they're very different in tone.
If you had one evening, which would you choose, and why? I'm particularly interested in which one best prepares you for the way he handles grief, since 'Heartbeat' is about depression.
