EU said no new law for stop killing games. so my old games still can die?

I read the news. 1.29 million signatures, and the European Commission say a law "would not be proportionate". They offer voluntary code of conduct instead.

I am in Philippines, not EU, but I have many old online games I paid for. So what this mean? Companies can still turn off the server and my game is gone? Very nice. 🙃
