Does a Slam count less if the top two weren't there? (asking for Zverev)

Congrats to Sascha. Four major finals, three heartbreaks, the man finally gets one. AP said he's 'no longer one of the best players never to win a major,' which is the nicest backhanded compliment I've ever read.

Here's my question, and I mean it honest: Sinner went out early and Alcaraz was injured. Capital FM called it 'a golden opportunity for the rest of the field.' Does that make it worth less? Or is a trophy a trophy, like when I fix a transmission and nobody asks if it was a hard one?

Also Cobolli taking it to five sets after never getting past a quarter before, give that guy a sandwich.
