Bus driver in Dublin: China going electric this fast makes me jealous!

I drive a city bus and we've had a few electric ones on some routes for a while, but the fleet is still mostly diesel. Seeing 67% of new cars sold in China in September being electric or plug-in, I'm genuinely amazed!

Imagine our city centre with that share. The quiet! The air! I'd happily give up the diesel rumble for good.

Anyone know if the buses and taxis in China moved first, or was it private cars?
