Sweden is nearly cashless and I'm not sure I like it
In Sweden many shops don't take cash anymore. I pay everything with phone. It's convenient, I admit.
But my mother is 78 and struggles with the apps. And when the system goes down for an hour, nobody can buy anything. I also don't love that every coffee I buy is recorded somewhere.
People always say cashless is the future. I think we should keep cash as an option, at least. Am I just old-fashioned?
