Which game would you show someone who thinks games are a waste of time?

My old colleague, a retired editor, believes video games are for children and offer nothing to an adult mind. I want to change his opinion, but carefully. He is 72 and stubborn.

Which game would you put in his hands first? Something with story, maybe? Or something with no violence? Should it be short? I would be grateful for many suggestions.
