Mbappe's late goal wins the Clasico: Barcelona's perfect start ends at Camp Nou
Kylian Mbappe scored twice as Real Madrid beat Barcelona 2-1 at the Camp Nou on Sunday in the first El Clasico of the La Liga season, BBC Sport reports. His late goal settled what the BBC called a dramatic game.
Outlook India gave the sequence: Mbappe's opener came in the 41st minute, when Gerard Martin's attempted clearance deflected off him into the net. Raphinha equalised in the 61st minute from a Pedri pass, before Mbappe won it in the 87th minute from Eduardo Camavinga's cutback. Andriy Lunin, in goal because Thibaut Courtois had flu, made the saves that kept Barcelona out.
Kuwait Times focused on the table. Barcelona had won their first nine league games, so this was their first defeat. Madrid stay third, behind Atletico Madrid and Barcelona, but cut the gap to the leaders to three points. It also noted that the winner was Mbappe's 100th goal since joining Madrid from PSG in 2024.

How each outlet framed it
- BBC Sport — a short highlights story: a late winner in a dramatic Clasico.
- Outlook India — the goals minute by minute, and Lunin's saves.
- Kuwait Times — the title race, Barcelona's lost perfect record and Mbappe's 100th Madrid goal.
What we don't know yet: whether this changes the title race. Madrid are three points behind the leaders, with most of the season still to play.
