Life Talk

Let's make our own version of NPR's list: which item swings most where you live?

In the GONOM grocery post, NPR chose five items with prices that move up and down, like ground beef, eggs and chocolate chip cookies, and explained why for each. I thought it would be fun to do this for our countries.

For France, I would choose butter, which everyone noticed in recent years, and maybe coffee. Also fresh vegetables in winter. What do you think, is it the same items everywhere, or very different?

And another question: do you notice price swings more on small daily things, like bread, or on big items you buy less often? I think for me it is the small daily ones, because I see the price every day.
