salt the pasta water 'like the sea'? no.

every cooking video says salt your pasta water until it tastes like the sea. i'm italian, i'm a doctor. please don't. the sea is very salty.

a good handful for a big pot is fine. you want it seasoned, not a medical event.

also stop adding oil to the water. it does nothing except sit on top. stir the pasta in the first minute instead.
