Explainer: what 'left the agency, still in the group' actually means

Since half my international friends messaged me 'is TWICE over???' this week: no. Calm down. Put the tissues away.

In K-pop the group and the individual contracts can be separated. JYP can keep managing TWICE as a group while Jihyo's personal work, solo music and so on, goes through her new company Emithaus. The Korea Herald says Emithaus will handle her solo work first and later move into producing music with new artists.

What nobody has explained yet is the practical side, who books what, who gets what share. Both outlets left that open. So anyone telling you the details with confidence is guessing.
