Nurse working abroad: send money home or save here?

I am nurse from Kerala, now working in a hospital abroad. Salary is good compared to India. Family wants me to send most money home every month.

But I also want to save for myself. Maybe study more later. I send now about 60% and keep 40%.

Other people working abroad: what percent you send? How you decide? I feel guilty when I keep more.
