Watching baseball in Tokyo as a tourist: my guide!
I run a small shop near Gaienmae and so many tourists ask me about baseball, so here is my mini guide!
Jingu Stadium is outdoor and old-style, very fun on a warm evening. The outfield cheering section sings for every batter, and they have little umbrellas they wave!
Tokyo Dome is indoor, so good for rainy days, and the Giants are the most famous team.
Tickets: the official team websites and convenience store machines are the easiest. Outfield seats are cheaper and much louder. If you want to eat and relax, sit in the infield.
Bring cash for some food stalls, and try the beer girls with the kegs on their backs! Note the regular season finishes in autumn, so check the schedule before you come.
