IT·Science Talk

so if Mythos found a 27 year old bug... should I be checking my bank app?

Asking as a researcher who is very good at science and very bad at cybersecurity. The GONOM post says Anthropic's Mythos preview found thousands of zero-days, including a 27-year-old one in OpenBSD, and Korea's financial regulator pulled bank security people in for an urgent meeting.

My question: is there literally anything a normal person should do here? Or is this one of those "the banks panic so you don't have to" situations? Asking for me. I am the friend.
