Diwali deep clean, mechanic edition: degrease your kitchen like an engine bay

Every year my mother gives me the kitchen chimney and the gas stove for the Diwali cleaning because 'you deal with grease at work anyway'. Fair. So here is my garage method for home.

1. Hot water + washing soda for the chimney filters. Soak 30 min, then old toothbrush. Do not scrub dry, you just move the grease around.

2. Stove burners: same soak, then a pin for the little holes. If flame is yellow and lazy, holes are blocked.

3. Work top to bottom. Always. Grease falls down, like my salary after rent.

4. Gloves. Your hands are not engine parts.
