kindle or real book for long holiday?

Next month going 3 weeks. Last time I bring 4 book, suitcase very heavy, airline check weight, I suffer.

My daughter say just buy Kindle. But I like smell of paper, I am old school. Also reading by pool, is Kindle ok with water?

What you all use for travel?
