anime for beginner? my friend say naruto is 700 episode

I want to start anime. My friend in Nairobi say watch Naruto. I check, it is very many episode. I have job, I am not a monk.

Something short, maybe 12 or 24 episode, good story, not too much screaming. Also can I watch with subtitle or dub is better?
