Gig delivery work: a real job or a trap? Asking as a driver
I deliver for two apps in Lagos. Some weeks are good, I make more than my friend who works in an office. Some weeks fuel price eats everything and I wonder why I'm doing this.
There's freedom, I choose my hours. But no insurance, no pension, and if my bike breaks, that's my problem alone.
I'm trying to be fair to both sides. People who do gig work or used to, how do you see it? Stepping stone or dead end?
