Living with your parents until marriage - normal or strange where you are?

In Singapore it is very common to live with parents until you marry, partly culture and partly because public housing rules and prices make it hard to move out alone when you are young.

When I tell friends from Europe they look at me like I said something sad. But I honestly enjoy it, my mum cooks, I help with bills, and we are close.

How is it in your country? Is it seen as normal, lazy, smart, or just the economy?
