PS Plus in March: Persona 5 Royal and Space Marine 2 lead Extra, Monster Hunter Rise free
Sony is adding eight games to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium on 17 March, Outlook Respawn reported on 12 March: Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, Persona 5 Royal, Madden NFL 26, Blasphemous 2, The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria, Metal Eden and Astroneer, with Tekken Dark Resurrection exclusive to Premium.
The Essential tier's monthly games went live earlier. Sortiraparis listed four from 3 March: PGA Tour 2K25, Monster Hunter Rise, Slime Rancher 2 and The Elder Scrolls Online Collection: Gold Road. Outlook Respawn confirmed the same four were still claimable.
“Securing this critically acclaimed title practically justifies the cost of a PS Plus subscription on its own.” — Outlook Respawn, on Persona 5 Royal
How each outlet framed it
- Outlook Respawn — value for subscribers, and a correction: online reports that Final Fantasy 16 and Dragon's Dogma 2 were joining were fake leaks. It also noted many fans were disappointed that Tekken Dark Resurrection is the PSP version rather than a console port.
- Sortiraparis — a short consumer note on the four games anyone with the base tier can download from 3 March.
What we don't know yet: Outlook Respawn said Big Walk will be a day-one PS Plus game but gave no date, and that Sony's April Essential reveal should follow about a week after the 17 March drop.
