Outside the UK: how did care homes in your country handle Covid?

Usually I'm here for the jokes but this report got me. American teacher, my grandma was in a care home in Ohio in 2020 and we did window visits for months.

The UK inquiry found PPE shortages, harmful visiting bans and blanket DNACPR decisions. I'm curious what it was like in other countries. Did anywhere get it right, or at least less wrong?
