The design challenge of putting a bumblebee on a banknote

Architect here, so I think about scale a lot. A barn owl or a puffin has a strong silhouette and reads well even small. A bumblebee is mostly fuzz and stripes, which is hard to render crisply at banknote size, especially with security features layered on top.

The post says the designs will take several years, and I'm not surprised. I'd love to see how they handle the bee.
