I ranked every Mexican pyramid I've climbed by steps-per-regret

Data from personal suffering, not science.

Teotihuacan, Pyramid of the Sun: many steps, high regret at the time, zero regret afterwards. Good ratio.

Cholula: the biggest pyramid by volume in the world but it looks like a hill with a church on it. Low steps, high confusion. Tourists ask me 'where is the pyramid'. You are standing on it.

Chichén Itzá: you cannot climb anymore since years. Steps climbed: 0. Regret: also 0, my knees say thank you.

Coba: you could climb the big one, the rope is very helpful, I was scared. Ratio: excellent.

Final note: please bring water, every single time.
