Politics Talk

which parliament building is your favourite? (architect's question)

Architect here, so forgive me. I've always found it fascinating how parliament buildings try to say something about the country. Glass domes for transparency, heavy stone for permanence, semicircles versus two facing sides for how debate is supposed to work.

The facing-benches style almost forces confrontation, the semicircle encourages coalition thinking. Do you think the room actually shapes the politics? And which building do you like most?
