Thai friends keep sending "flooded 7-Eleven still open" photos. I respect it

A friend in Bangkok sent me a photo of her local convenience store, water past the step, staff on stools behind the counter, lights on, still selling noodles. She captioned it "national treasure".

Obviously this is a serious flood and I'm not making light of anyone who lost their home. But there's something quietly moving about people just keeping the ordinary things going.
