Kinderboekenweek started and my little cousin has opinions

In the Netherlands it's Kinderboekenweek now, the national children's book week. Schools do themed activities, bookshops have special books, kids dress up. My cousin is 8 and gave me a 15 minute review of every book in her class, including which ones are 'for babies'.

I love that there is a whole week where books are the main event for kids. Do other countries do something like this?
