Who actually benefits from cutting tariffs on billiard balls?
Honest question after reading the tariff lists. The US list covers 77 categories: bed linen, garden umbrellas, toasters, billiard balls. China's list has 1,619 product types including MRI systems and breeding animals. Both sides talk about $30bn each.
But chips, batteries and EVs aren't included, and US soya beans still face an extra 10%. So is this meaningful for anyone, or is it a goodwill gesture with a spreadsheet attached? I'd love to hear from anyone importing or exporting this sort of thing.
