Phones at the dinner table: what are the rules in your house?

We've had a running debate at home. My partner thinks phones should be in a basket during dinner, no exceptions. I mostly agree, but I'm on call for some shoots and occasionally really do need to check.

What do you do? Strict ban, 'emergencies only', or nobody cares? And does it actually change how much you talk to each other?
