Info: 5 quick checks before you forward that WhatsApp message

As a retired teacher I spend too much time correcting family group chats. My checklist, very simple:

1. Who is the original source? 'A friend of my cousin' is not a source.
2. Is there a date? Many messages are years old.
3. Search two or three outlets. If only one, be careful.
4. Big emotion (fear, anger) is a warning sign.
5. If you are not sure, don't forward. Nothing bad happens.

This site taught me number 3, to be honest.
