The Hague riot made me think about how my generation sees migration

I'm Japanese, living in Tokyo, and Japan has a very different migration story from the Netherlands. But reading about a truck screen in The Hague saying 'The Netherlands is for the Dutch', I thought about how many people my age here feel anxious about change too, even if they would never act like that.

I don't want to dismiss people's worries, but I also feel the answer can't be fireworks and Nazi salutes. How do you talk with friends or family who feel that kind of anxiety, without just fighting?
