Toronto's People's Choice track record, checked

TheWrap says 16 of the last 18 People's Choice winners got a best picture nomination, and five won. I went back through the list myself, and that holds up, with the usual caveat that the Oscars have had ten nominees for a while now, which makes 'nominated' easier than it used to be.

La Bola Negra is the first non-English winner since 2011. Runners-up were I Play Rocky and Being Heumann. Worth watching how it does with voters who don't usually go for subtitles.
