PSA from a pharmacist: please don't flush your old medicines

Small public service announcement. Every autumn people clean out their bathroom cabinets, and every autumn I hear about tablets going down the toilet or into the normal rubbish.

Please don't. Many pharmacies (in Spain, at the SIGRE point) take back expired or unused medicines, including the packaging. It keeps them out of rivers and out of reach of children and pets.

Check what the system is in your country; most have one.
