sending money home still costs way too much

My brother works in Texas and sends money to my mom in Puebla every month. Every time some part disappears. Fee, then bad exchange rate, then another fee.

Is 2026, we have phones that do everything, but moving 300 dollars between two countries still feels like 1995.
