Using AI for engineering calcs at work. Am I the only one nervous about this?

Civil engineer here. Some junior folks on my team are using AI tools to draft load calculations and spec sections. To be fair, the output is often decent. But “often decent” isn't a standard you want for a bridge deck.

Our rule now: AI can draft, but every number gets checked by hand or in our validated software, and a licensed engineer signs off. Still feels like we're one tired Friday away from someone skipping that step. How are other professions handling this?
