Resident Evil Requiem arrives on four platforms, with Switch 2 at the centre of the launch
Capcom's Resident Evil Requiem launches on 27 February on PC, PS5, Xbox Series and Switch 2. Sortiraparis describes it as the ninth mainline entry in the horror series, rated PEGI 18, and notes that Resident Evil 7 Biohazard, first released in 2017 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, comes to Switch 2 on the same day. Australia's Stevivor lists the same date and the same four platforms, and both outlets put Requiem at the end of a month that also brought Nioh 3 and Reanimal.
Nintendo has given the game a push. Pakistan's Daily Jang, summarising the 5 February Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, said Requiem was confirmed there for 27 February with themed accessories. The same show dated Capcom's Pragmata for 24 April and Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection for 13 March, and set Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on Switch 2 for 3 June.
“Multiple top-notch titles received firm launch windows.” — Daily Jang, on the Partner Showcase
How each outlet framed it
- Sortiraparis — a French release-calendar entry with the age rating and the Resident Evil 7 port beside it.
- Stevivor — Requiem as the closing headline of an Australian list of notable February releases.
- Daily Jang — Requiem as one of several third-party games firming up dates on Switch 2.
What we don't know yet: None of the three outlets had sales or review figures at launch.
