Password manager vs the one built into the browser: does it matter anymore?

I've used a paid password manager for about eight years. Renewal came up this week and I'm wondering if I still need it. Browsers and phones now generate, store and sync passwords, and support passkeys.

For keeping it: works across every browser and OS, shared family vault, secure notes. Against: one more subscription, and the built-in ones are “good enough” for most people.

What are people here using and why?
