Pro Ref admitting the VAR mistake the same evening — progress or damage control?
City win 1-0 at Old Trafford, Haaland's goal shouldn't have stood, and Pro Ref puts out a statement that night admitting "an error of judgment" and contacting United. Webb then explains it on Mic'd Up. The VAR and assistant are stood down until after the international break.
Is admitting it quickly actually good? Or does it just make fans angrier that the result stays? What would you want them to do instead?
