I did the maths on cinema vs streaming for my family. It's grim.

Family of four in Brisbane. Last school holidays we went to the cinema once. Tickets, a large popcorn to share, two drinks and parking came to about 95 dollars for one film.

Our streaming bill is around 45 a month across two services. So one cinema trip is roughly two months of streaming, which I can watch from the couch with my own snacks.

I still think the big screen is worth it for some films. But at these prices we go maybe three times a year now, down from monthly when the kids were smaller. Anyone else's habits changed the same way?
