hot take: cameras in every police station should be the bare minimum!
Reading about Mohammad Ghamira's death after custody in Syria. 29 years old, former White Helmets volunteer, haemophilia, and his parents had warned police. The probe says a slap from an investigator caused the brain haemorrhage.
Al Jazeera says the government promised cameras in police stations and better training. My hot take: that should be the baseline in every country, not a promise after someone dies! Cameras protect honest officers too! Who's with me?
