How do you explain your national sport to foreign coworkers?

We've a few new colleagues from abroad in the office and they've asked me to bring them to a hurling match. I love the idea, but every time I try to explain the rules I lose them within a minute.

How do you explain your country's sport to people who've never seen it? Is it better just to bring them and let them watch?
