Things every amateur sports league has, a field guide

Having now played in three rec leagues in two states, I feel qualified to document the species.

There is always the guy who takes it far too seriously and brings his own whistle. There is always the person who joins every season, never improves, and is everyone's favourite. There is the one team in matching kit that loses every game. And there is always, always someone's dad who "used to play semi-pro".
