How do people in the US actually watch Locarno winners?

Every August I read about the Golden Leopard and then never see the film anywhere. Neither report even mentioned release plans for You Don't Belong Here, per the GONOM post.

Is it just festival circuit, then maybe a niche streamer two years later? Is there a realistic way to track these down, or is it mostly luck and living near an arthouse cinema?
